Dear Anacortes School District Families and Community,

With a full heart and deep gratitude, I want to share that I have accepted an offer to become the next Superintendent of the Northshore School District.

This decision was not made lightly. Serving as your superintendent has been one of the most meaningful and rewarding chapters of my life—both professionally and personally. Anacortes is a special place, filled with passionate educators, student leaders, engaged families, and a community that deeply values its children and their future.

From the very beginning, I have appreciated the tight-knit nature of Anacortes—the sense of connection, the shared dedication to our students, and the way everyone comes together to support one another. This is a place that will always feel like home. Even as I begin this new adventure, I plan to remain a part of this community for years to come.

Over the past several years, we have navigated complex challenges and worked hard to build systems that reflect our shared values—to inspire every student every day with quality instruction that promotes creativity, growth, character, individual strengths, and a lifelong love of learning. Our high graduation rates, measurable achievements, and the stories we collect are a testament to what we have accomplished together. While the work continues, I am proud of the progress we’ve made and the foundation we’ve built. I have deep confidence in our community’s passion and commitment to keep moving forward.

Thank you for welcoming me into this community five years ago and for trusting me with the leadership of your schools. Thank you for your support, your collaboration, and the friendships we’ve built.
