The Anacortes School District is charged with the responsibility for providing for the safety of staff and students. Written policies and procedures alone cannot guarantee student and staff safety. It is essential that frequent and regularly scheduled drills be practiced at each school. The building administrators shall supervise emergency drills or other safety activities necessary to assure appropriate responses if/when emergencies occur. 

The district's specific safety plans are confidential, but the district follows a Standard Response Protocol, which dictates our actions.
