New Substitute Packet and Check-Off list

As a condition of employment, the Anacortes School District, in accordance with Washington State law, requires fingerprint background checks for all school district employees new to the District. The fingerprint background record check consists of a check through Washington State Patrol (WSP) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Fingerprints remain active and on-file for two (2) years only.

There are two options for fingerprinting in Anacortes.

  • The Anacortes Police Department provides fingerprinting services for new employees every Wednesday morning on a drop-in basis, located at 1218 24th Street. Please call to schedule an appointment to visit the District Office to pick up a fingerprint card to take with you prior to visiting the Police Department. The Washington State processing fee is $45.25.

  • The Northwest Educational Service District (NWESD), provides digital fingerprinting services for an additional fingerprint fee on top of the$45.25 processing fee. NWESD is located at 1601 R Avenue, in Anacortes. Please call (360) 299-4043 to schedule an appointment.
