Anacortes School Board Opening.

Are you interested in becoming an Anacortes School District Board Member? The board position will be filled by appointment to serve from August to December, 2009. The Interim Board Application is available below. Applications will be accepted until July 25, 2009.


There is a three -day filing period for the Elected Board Position: July 14, 15 and 16, 2009. You must file in person at the County Elections Department in Mt. Vernon on one of those days. All persons filing for the position will be on the November 3, 2009 General Election Ballot. The elected director will be sworn in at the first board meeting in December.

Anacortes Teachers honored at Mariner Game- Receive Ralley Fries

AHS students are pictured taking AP Tests this week.

Our high school students can earn college credits and save the cost of tutition while attending AHS. In fact last year alone tuition savings due to Advanced Placement classes at Anacortes High School saved local families more than $146,000. This year more than double the the amount of students are taking AP tests than anyother school year. This year close to a 140 students are taking AP exams and next year AHS will be offering more Advance Placement opportunities.
