School Supplies

SCHOOL SUPPLIES -2021-22 School Year 

Below are the supply lists for all students in Anacortes School District schools. Please note that individual teachers may ask for additional materials later in the year.

As an enrolled student in the district, your child will automatically receive the following:

  • District-issued student laptop (and accessories)
  • Anacortes Public Library card

Kindergarten:

  • 6 or more small tip dry erase markers (expo brand preferred)
  • 2 boxes of 24 count (at least) Crayola Crayon box

  • 24 #2 Pencils (Ticonderoga preferred)

  • 10 pack Crayola brand washable markers (Broadline Classic Colors) 

  • 1 set small watercolor paints

  • 8 glue sticks

  • 1 pair small scissors (Fiskar brand preferred)

  • Pencil box for supply organization

1st Grade:

  • 12 or more sharpened pencils (Ticonderoga preferred)
  • 1 pair of scissors (Fiskars brand preferred)

  • 5 glue sticks (or more)

  • Crayons

  • 1 set of Watercolors

  • 3 Dry Erase black, fine-tip whiteboard markers (These are the thin markers. These are easier than the big markers for students to have correct pencil grip and to be able to practice writing neatly).

2nd Grade (and 1st Grade Challenge):

  • 4 black find tip dry erase markers - fine tip is easier to practice handwriting (Expo brand preferred) 
  • 12-24 pre-sharpened pencils (Ticonderoga preferred) 

  • 1 non-electric handheld pencil sharpener 

  • 2 pink erasers - Pink Pearl is preferred brand 

  • 1 48 pack of crayons - Crayola preferred 

  • 1 12 pack of colored pencils - Crayola preferred 

  • 6 Glue sticks - Avery or Elmer's preferred 

  • 3 wide-ruled composition book

  • 2 3-prong folder with bottom pockets 

  • 1 pair of scissors 

  • 1 set of watercolors - Prang preferred 

  • 1 pack plain 3x3 sticky notes/ post-its 

  • 1 box tissue/ Kleenex 

  • 1 pack unscented baby wipes 

  • 1 box quart size ziplock bags 

  • 1 box gallon size ziplock bags 

3rd Grade:

  • 4 Thin dry-erase “Expo” pens

  • 24 pre-sharpened pencils - Ticonderoga preferred 

  • 1 non-electric handheld pencil sharpener 

  • Highlighters - two different colors 

  • 2 Wide-ruled composition book

  • Pink eraser and/or eraser caps

  • 1 pack plain 3x3 sticky notes/ post-its 

  • Colored pencils,

  • Crayons, and/or markers (you can choose 1 or more)

  • Scissors (Fiskars preferred) 

  • Glue sticks (4) 

  • Pencil box (5x8 inches) 

  • 1 box gallon ziplock bags 

  • 1 package baby wipes 

  • 1 box of tissues 

4th Grade:

  • #2 pencils (12-24)

  • Pack of fine tip sharpies (5 count) 

  • Highlighters (2 colors)

  • 4 Wide-ruled spiral notebooks - 100 sheets (Math, Reading, Writing, Science)

  • 3 Pocket folders - No prongs. (1 ELA, 1 Math)

  • Pink eraser and/or eraser caps

  • 12" ruler with inches and centimeters 

  • 1 non-electric handheld pencil sharpener 

  • 500 sticky notes, 3x3 inch size

5th Grade:

  • 2 composition notebooks (reading/ writing, science)

  • 1 composition notebook with graph paper (math)

  • 1 to 1 ½ inch binder

  • Pencils

  • Small pencil box

  • Big pink erasers

  • Pencil Sharpener

  • Colored pencils

  • Markers

  • 4 Glue sticks

  • 4 highlighters (different colors)

  • Scissors

  • 500 sticky notes, 3x3 inch

  • 4 pens in a mix of red, blue, and black ink

  • 1 Double-sided black sharpie

Middle & High School 
Basic supplies will depend on your student's learning style (e.g. do they like individual notebooks per subject/ or one notebook?), and your student's schedule. Schedules are provided before school starts. Supplies are determined by teacher. We recommend all students bring a notebook and writing utensil.
