Elementary Math

• Elementary math teachers will meet throughout the year to align the district curriculum to state standards and develop a year long calendar of units of study.

• An elementary level district math team is working to help the district expand the capacity of Anacortes School District teachers to lead and support efforts to increase student mathematical competency and close the achievement gap in the area of math.
• Technology Infusion
  • Elementary Tech Mentors and TIAs will meet throughout the year to learn how to better infuse technology into the math curriculum.
  • Elementary Tech Mentors and TIAs will work at each school to share information and provide professional development.
  • All elementary classroom teachers received a digital camera to use in their classrooms.
